Hereβs everything you need for 4 nights in the Bahamas aboard Wonder of the Seas β plus the items Royal Caribbean wonβt let you bring, so nothing gets confiscated at security.
πͺͺ Donβt Leave Home Without These
- Travel documents β passport (recommended) or original birth certificate + government photo ID. Keep them in your carry-on, never in checked luggage. If you need a visa to enter the U.S., remember the visa is only valid with your passport β bring the physical passport book; a visa alone will not get you on the ship. See the Travel Documents FAQ.
- Your SetSail pass in the Royal Caribbean app (or printed)
- Credit card for your onboard account
- Any medications (in original containers, in your carry-on)
π Pack a Boarding-Day Bag
Bags you hand to the porters may not reach your cabin until late afternoon. Carry on a small bag with:
- Travel documents, medications, phone and charger
- Swimsuit and sunscreen (pools are open from day one!)
- Anything valuable β jewelry, electronics, cash
π Clothing for a November Bahamas Cruise
- Expect warm, humid days around 80Β°F with cooler ship air-conditioning β pack a light layer for evenings and the theater.
- Daywear: shorts, sundresses, t-shirts; two swimsuits (so one is always dry) and a cover-up.
- Dinner: resort casual most nights (no swimwear or tank tops in the Main Dining Room). Our 4-night sailing typically has one "Dress Your Best" night β bring something dressier if youβd like to join in (suits and cocktail dresses welcome, not required).
- Comfortable walking shoes (the ship is big!), sandals or water shoes for the beach.
- Sun protection: sunscreen, sunglasses, hat β plus a small day bag and cash for the Nassau beach day.
π‘ Smart Extras Cruisers Swear By
- Magnetic hooks β cabin walls are steel, and hanging space is limited
- Lanyard or phone wallet for your SeaPass card
- Motion sickness remedies (Dramamine/Bonine, sea bands) β just in case
- A USB charging hub without surge protection β outlets are limited
- Refillable water bottle
π· Drinks You Can Bring Aboard
- One sealed 750ml bottle of wine or champagne per adult 21+ (max two per cabin), carried on at boarding β a $15 corkage fee applies only if you drink it in public venues.
- Up to 12 standard cans/bottles/cartons (17 oz or less) of non-alcoholic drinks per cabin, carried on at boarding.
- No beer or liquor may be brought aboard β and alcohol purchased in Nassau or the shipβs shops is stored and returned on the last day.
π« Do NOT Pack These (Royal Caribbean Will Confiscate Them)
- Clothing irons and garment steamers β the most commonly confiscated items
- Extension cords, power strips, and multi-plug outlets
- Candles, incense, or anything with an open flame
- Marijuana and CBD products β prohibited even with a medical card or prescription
- Weapons of any kind, including pepper spray and pocket knives over 7 inches
- Baby monitors, HAM radios, and drones (drones canβt be used onboard or at CocoCay)
