🏨 Pre-Cruise Hotel & Transportation to Port
- Pre-Cruise Hotels: We recommend the Miami Airport Marriott and the Courtyard Miami Airport. The two hotels are part of one shared campus at 1201 NW LeJeune Rd, Miami, FL 33126 — book early, as early November is a busy cruise season in Miami. The port is about a 20–25 minute ride away.
- Shared-campus perk: Because the two hotels share a campus, if you dine at a restaurant at one hotel while staying at the other, you can charge it to your hotel room bill.
- Driving? Parking is available at the hotels, including leaving your car for the length of the cruise — check directly with the hotel for current parking details when you book. Please note: if you leave your car at the hotel, you are responsible for getting yourself back to your car after the cruise. See our Parking at PortMiami article.
- Pre-Cruise Meet-Up (November 1): Our meet-up will be held at the Courtyard, in the shared space between the Courtyard and the Marriott. Time and details to come!
- Getting to the Ship (November 2): We sail from Royal Caribbean’s Terminal A at PortMiami (2000 N Cruise Blvd, Miami, FL 33132). Plan to take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi from the hotel (1201 NW LeJeune Rd, Miami, FL 33126) to Royal Caribbean Terminal A, PortMiami — 2000 N Cruise Blvd, Miami, FL 33132. It’s about a 20–25 minute ride; fares vary by time and demand, so check your rideshare app for current pricing (splitting with cabin mates keeps it cheap). Leave extra time: port-day traffic in Miami is heavy, especially 9–11 AM.
✈️ Booking Your Flights
- Fly into Miami International Airport (MIA) — about 20 minutes from the cruise port — or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood (FLL), about 45–60 minutes away.
- Arrival: We highly recommend flying in on November 1, the night before sailing. Getting to the Miami cruise port on embarkation morning is ridiculous with traffic — don’t risk your cruise on a same-day flight.
- Return flights (November 6): Book flights departing MIA no earlier than 11:30 AM (or FLL no earlier than 1:00 PM) to allow time for disembarkation and customs.
- If you’re flying within the U.S., remember you’ll need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or a passport for airport security.
🧳 Travel Tips
- Double-check that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond the cruise (end date = November 6, 2026 → valid through at least early May 2027).
- Carry all travel documents and photo ID in your carry-on bag — do not pack them in checked luggage.
- Complete Royal Caribbean online check-in early (it opens September 18) to get your preferred arrival time.
